The system can be set so that tickets of a certain type need approval.

First, an Approver Definition is set up. This determines who the approver is, who gets notified.

Next, the Approver Definition is tied to an Issue Type. When a ticket with the Issue Type is created, approval will be needed as per the Approver Definition selected.

 The system creates an Approval Task for each approver. The approvers receive an email with a link to the approval task. This link opens that task and the approver can then approve or deny the request. The approval request can also be sent back to the requester for more information.
